circa 1890, with tapering round 30 3/4in. barrel, machine engraved applied sighting-rib, dove-tailed fore-sight, 'Africa' rear-sight consisting of a flush folding ladder with six further flush-folding graduated leaves, each with platinum central line, the right side of barrel near breech marked 'MADE IN ENGLAND FOR', the left 'GEO. R PERRINS, PORT ELIZABETH', the right side of action with border and scroll engraving and fitted with a cocking lever and teardrop shaped cocking indicator, the left side with border and scroll engraving around a central game-scene panel of a prowling tiger, dropping load-ramp bored with an aperture for cleaning, chequered walnut pistol-grip butt-stock, iron furniture including under-lever with rolled tip, chequered walnut splinter fore-end and full-length under-barrel rib with replacement wood clearing rod
