dated 1943, 24in. nitro reproved barrel, adjustable tangent rear sight marked to 2000 yards, block and blade fore-sight, tunnel protector missing, receiver fitted with an Opticotechna (dow) telescopic sight, the left side marked 'ZF K 43. dow.' with green/blue in-filled triangle, and stamped 47893, in quickly-detachable reproduction swept-back mount, receiver ring marked 'dou. 43.', the left side marked 'MOD. 98.', turned-down bolt, extended safety, detachable floorplate, blacked finish, laminate three-quarter length semi-pistolgrip stock, one barrel band, leather sling, 13in. pull including flat alloy buttplate, weight 9lb. 6oz. (unscoped) and 10lb. 11oz. (scoped), later padded cheekpiece
