circa 1850, with 32 1/2 in. single-edged blade with ricasso marked 'ANDERSON / & SON / St JAMES St. LONDON', folding guard, together with its black leather scabbard with brass fittings, locket also with Anderson address, worn, blade re-nickelled over worn engraving with rust patches coming through, cross-guard quillion broken off and absent, scabbard heavily grazed, folded and with failed stitching
