circa 1940, 24 1/2in. nitro reproved barrel, the breech end marked 'ce' for J.P. Sauer & Sohn, adjustable tangent rear sight marked to 2000 yards, block and blade fore-sight with tunnel protector, receiver fitted with a Voigtlander und Sohn (ddx) telescopic sight, the left side marked 'GW ZF4. 28770. ddx.' with green/blue in-filled triangle, with reproduction rubber eyepiece and anti-glare shade, in quickly-detachable reproduction swept-back mount, the take-down lever marked 'FEST', receiver ring marked 'bcd. 4.', the left side marked 'MOD. 98.', turned-down bolt, extended safety, detachable floorplate, blacked finish, laminate three-quarter length semi-pistolgrip stock, one barrel band, sling swivels, 13in. pull including flat alloy buttplate, weight 11lb. 2oz.
