for 1870-71, with 31in. sighted barrel stamped 'P / H B R', rolling block action with right of receiver marked with martial eagle over 'USN / SPRINGFIELD / 1870', receiver tang with 'REMINGTON'S PATENT / PAT. MAY 3d. NOV. 15th 1864 APRIL 17th 1868' (some rubbing), full stock, two spring-retained barrel-bands, trigger-guard tang stamped '21', butt-plate tang stamped 'US', complete with sling swivels and cleaning rod, chipped loss to butt by right side of butt tang
