circa 1760, with iron two-stage 37in. barrel, the top-flat of octagonal section signed 'Strand, LONDON', applied fore-sight, small bayonet lug to underside of muzzle, engraved band at breech, florally engraved top-tang also featuring a stand of flags and a drum, flat lock with stepped tail, carved bevel edge, 'RICHARDS' signature in script below the pan, swan-necked cock and shallow pan, walnut hand-rail full-stock with raised moulded decoration around the top-tang, brass furniture, the heel-plate with sprung trap concealing the sporting socket-bayonet and iron drum-headed ramrod
