A 7.63mm (MAUSER) SEMI-AUTOMATIC PRE-WAR COMMERCIAL MAUSER C96 'BROOMHANDLE' PISTOL, serial no. 165624, with holster-stock,
manufactured between 1911-15, with 5 1/2in. barrel, integral fore-sight, integral blued receiver with 1000 metre elevating rear-sight, internal bolt with cocking piece to rear, milled panels to frame, integral magazine, small ring hammer and new-style safe, bag-shaped walnut grips with horizontal grooves and lanyard ring at heel, much finish remaining and with a period but miss-matched number walnut holster-stock for same (cracked along long length), in a later foam lined case with five stripper-clips and a spare magazine spring, floor-plate and follower
