Product Details

AN INTERESTING .22 WEBLEY & SCOTT MK3 UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, serial no. A59, for 1966, with 18 1/2in. sighted barrel, tap-action breech, applied straight telescopic sight rail, later style rounded walnut half-stock, strong amount of original finish

Provenance: Christopher Thrale's excellent book 'Webley Air Rifles 1925-2005' states that the change to prefixed numbers occured in June 1966, with the earliest recorded being 'A0060'. This rifle may therefore be from an unrecorded batch of the same date, especially as the records state the numbers up to A0299 were all .177
