circa 1805, with browned laminated 33in. barrels, the breech-blocks each inlet with a platinum poincon marked 'WOODWARD NORWICH' together with a five-pointed star, applied white metal fore-sight, shallow sighting groove to the plain top-tang, flat bevel-edged plain locks signed 'WOODWARD' below the rainproof pans, stepped tails, swan-necked cocks and roller frizzens, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, plain iron furniture including raised and scrolled lower tang, white metal oval escutcheon to back of wrist and brass tipped mahogany ramrod with white-metal throat
