AN 8-BORE PERCUSSION SINGLE-BARRELLED FOWLING PIECE SIGNED Wm. CLARKE, no visible serial number,
circa 1855, with round tapering 39in. barrel, raised slightly concave full-length sighting rib, scroll engraving to rib-end, bead fore-sight, border and scroll engraved top-tang, border and scroll engraved lock signed on the bar 'Wm CLARKE' (hammer with working repair to spur), chequered walnut half-stock (chequering rubbed), iron furniture, horn fore-end tip and under-barrel rib with ramrod (ramrod incomplete)


Provenance: William Clarke traded from 7 Slaney Street from 1846 before moving to 49 Shadwell Street in 1850
