A PAIR OF 14mm BELGIAN PERCUSSION RIFLED TARGET PISTOLS, UNSIGNED, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1840, with 9 1/8in. browned twist octagonal barrels, Belgian proof marks to the left side flats, blade fore-sights, standing notch rear sights, top- tangs engraved '1' and '2' for the pair respectively, bar action locks, border and foliate engraving (cleaned), walnut half stock finely chequered at grips, swelling at the base and fitted with moulded engraved iron caps, single set triggers with spurred and engraved iron guards, no provision for ramrods
