Provenance: This Lot was formerly the property of Gavin Pritchard-Gordon, noted and respected Newmarket horse trainer.
He first came to Newmarket in 1966 to be a pupil trainer and took over the trainer's license in 1972, before retiring from training in 1995.
In his memoirs, "Follow Your Leader", he recalls numerous anecdotes and stories, including where he recounts the ignominy of a day's shooting at Sandringham, where his rank incompetence earned the disdain of the Princess Royal's gamekeeper.
A copy of the memoirs, signed by the author, accompanies the Lot
