KNUBLEY, LONDON 
 A CASED PAIR OF 30-BORE FLINTLOCK BRASS-BARRELLED HOLSTER PISTOLS WITH WHITE METAL MOUNTS, no visible serial numbers, 
 circa 1790, with 11 3/4in. half round half octagonal brass barrels, the top-flats at breech signed 'LONDON', carved girdle at the intersections, applied white metal fore-sights, engraved iron top-tangs with shallow rear-sights, brass bevel-edged locks with stepped and pointed tails and signed 'KNUBLEY' below the brass semi rainproof pans, swan-necked cocks and roller frizzens with exaggerated feet, walnut full-stocks with dot and checker chequering and semi slab sides, gadrooned pommels, white metal trigger guards and ramrod pipes, horn tipped ramrods, in a mahogany case adapted for these pistols together with a number of period accessories, the lid bearing an escutcheon marked 'E.R FITZPATRICK ESQ, LOYAL NTH.
