(72cm) nitro chopperlump barrels (No.2 loose on action), matted tapered ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2' at the breech ends, the tubes engraved 'AUGUSTE FRANCOTTE BREVETE LIEGE', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'S' details, removable striker discs, cocking-indicators, gold-washed triggers, the front triggers articulated, very fine acanthus scroll engraving, the undersides with banners engraved 'AUG. FRANCOTTE', the triggerplates signed 'P. GRIFNEE 76', bright finish, 14 3/8in. boldly-figured stocks, weight 6lb. 12oz., with Holland & Holland fleece-lined leather gunslips (can be used as a double or individual singles)
