for 1882, 30in. nitro reproved damascus barrels (in 1975), the rib engraved 'BOSS & CO. 73, ST. JAMES'S STREET. LONDON.' (rubbed), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke, carved percussion fences, rebounding sidelocks, fine acanthus scroll engraving with ornate bordering, brushed and reblued finish, 14 1/4in. figured stock with blued steel heel and toe plates, the fore-end with grip-catch release and minor repairs to wood, weight 6lb. 15oz.
