circa 1865, with round 5 3/4in. barrel, applied fore-sight. engraved octagonal breech-section marked 'CHAINEUX BTE.' on the left, deeply engraved open iron frame with fully fluted and en-suite engraved cylinder, recoil shield with loading gate, double action mechanism (sticky) and chequered ebony bag-shaped grips (old cracks and repairs)
