A SCARCE .32 (RIMFIRE) W. MARSTON PATENT THREE-BARRELLED DERRINGER PISTOL, serial no. 1837,
circa 1866, with hinged and moulded vertically stacked blued 3in. three-barrel group, small applied nickel-bladed fore-sight, rotating dove-tailed locking catch with central sighting groove mounted to top of the plain brass receiver, the side with the details 'WM. W. MARSTON PATENTED MAY 26 1857 NEW YORK CITY IMPROVED 1864' on the left hand face and rotating barrel indicator on the right (traces of colour, light bruising around extractor), external colour hardened spurred hammer, spur trigger and brass grip-straps fitted with smooth walnut grips (left with hairline cracks), much finish remaining throughout
