circa 1815, with plain round turn-off 2 1/4in. over and under barrels (retaining much blued finish), starred muzzles for key, London proofs, border and foliate engraved boxlock action (lightly cleaned) with barrel selecting lever, the left side signed 'THEOP RICHARDS' in a central banner and 'LONDON' with trophy engraving on the right, central ring-neck cock, top-tang push-forward safety also locking frizzen, slab-sided walnut grip with rectangular clipped-corner white metal escutcheon (vacant) at wrist, and guarded trigger
