circa 1885, with octagonal 23 1/4in. barrel, dove-tailed and guarded bead fore-sight, elevating tangent rear-sight, the top of breech-end of barrel signed in white-metal script 'I. EHRENSPERGER GENEVE', twin white metal bands at breech, replaceable breech-face and striker, central hammer (currently not holding on cock), borderline and scroll engraved top-tang later fitted with a pan-headed adjustable peep-sight, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist (some old repaired cracks to fore-end), raised cheek-piece, iron 'Schuetzen' heel-plate, double set triggers and engraved trigger guard with raised lower tang
