A .32-40 (W&B) CONTINENTAL ROLLING-BLOCK TARGET RIFLE, no visible serial number, with vintage telescopic sight,
the rifle circa 1895 and probably Norwegian, with blued octagonal 30 1/2in. barrel, brass tunnel fore-sight, no provision for rear-sight and currently fitted with raising blocks with applied dove-tail bases and mounted with a 'WINCHESTER' B5 brass-bodied telescopic sight, rounded rolling-block action with strong amount of colour, central hammer, unmarked top-tang, chequered walnut half pistol-grip butt-stock, heavy brass Swiss-style heel-plate, guarded set-back trigger, walnut splinter fore-end, the underside fitted with an adjustable folding palm-rest with wood mushroom-shaped pommel
