A COMPOSED PAIR OF INDO-PERSIAN MATCHLOCK MUSKETS,UNSIGNED, no visible serial number, both North Indian manufacture with Persian barrels, circa late 18th century, the first 30-bore with 44 1/2in. swamped sighted round barrel with reeding at the muzzle and breech ends, makers cartouche stamps (illegible), serpentine (broken) and pan (cover missing), flat-sided sind style full-stock with horn extension to heel, hatchet style trigger, seven white-metal barrel bands, brass re-enforcement plate to the underside of fore-stock, wooden ramrod (frozen), the second with 43in. swamped sighted round barrel with reeding at the muzzle and breech, serpentine and pan (cover missing), flat-sided sind style three quarter stock, hatchet style trigger, four brass barrel bands with copper wire repairs, brass plate re-enforced stock, no provision for ramrod (2)
