A CASED .320 (SHORT) COLT D.A. 32 NEW POLICE POCKET REVOLVER, serial no. 32158, with holster & spare grips,
the revolver manufactured in 1904, with blued round 4in. barrel signed by the maker on three lines with patent dates to '1900', blued solid frame marked on the sideplate 'COLT'S NEW POLICE' in a circle around the rampant horse trademark, blued and fluted swing-out six-shot cylinder, double action mechanism, smooth factory abalone grips and guarded trigger, with a certificate of proof and in a leather carry-case with red velvet lining, Colt parchment trade-label inside lid and together with a pair of hard rubber grips and a cleaning rod for same, with a period leather holster and a Colt heritage letter
Provenance: The letter accompanying the lot states that this revolver was shipped to Hibbard, Spencer, Bartlett & Company of Chicago on December 19th, 1904
