U.S.A.', dove-tailed blade fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, calibre designation to breech, slab-sided receiver, the top-tang marked 'MODEL 1886', straight hand walnut butt-stock with crescent heel-plate, plain walnut fore-end (small hairline crack lengthways at tip) and full-length magazine, fair traces of finish
