VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD 16-BORE 'THE KNOCK ABOUT GUN' BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 80349, circa 1920 and supplied by Auguste Francotte, 28in. nitro reproved barrels (in 1995), tapered wave cut rib, the tubes engraved 'THE KNOCK-ABOUT GUN', 'VON LENGERKE & DETMOLD NEW-YORK', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, treble-grip stepped action, slim automatic safety, the toplever, top of the standing breech and fences with panels of fine matting, bright finish, the action sides engraved in italics 'THE KNOCK ABOUT GUN', bright finish, 15in. pistolgrip stock including 1in. recoil pad ventilated in art deco sunburst style, weight 6lb. 1oz.
