A SPANISH ARTILLERY OFFICER'S SWORD, late 19th Century, 35 1/2 in. single-edged blade fullered on each side, ricasso stamped 'Artilleria / Nacional / Toledo' with '15189' over, nickelled steel hilt, bowl guard impressed with crossed swords and lances design with rubbed out crown above, wooden grips, heavily worn, blade with heavy blinded pitting, bowl guard crudely cut to accept the blade with tears in the bowl metalwork, grips crude replacements of the chequered originals, grip screws crudely filed back; pommel with apparent grip dents, appears to be a reconstructed marriage of parts, no scabbard
