A JACOBEAN SCOTTISH BROADSWORD,
circa 1720, with narrow double-edged 32 1/2in. blade of flat diamond cross-section (some caustic cleaning, extreme tip lost), iron basket with split bars and panels pierced with circular holes and heart shapes (some cracks), possible period leather grip with wire spiral binding and replacement bun pommel, in a later leather scabbard (worn)
