AN UNUSUAL, PRESUMED OTTOMAN EMPIRE, OFFICER'S CAVALRY SABRE,
circa late 19th Century, with 33in. slightly curved single-edged blade with two narrow fullers and one broad fuller on each side, cast brass hilt with quillioned knuckle-guard, back-strap, ferrule and pommel all with foliate decoration, langets with flower above crescent moon, brass wire-bound polished horn grip, scabbard with cast brass double suspension rings, decorated brass bands and chape, scabbard dented with an inset repair of some 3in. at the mid-point of the outside edge
