A RARE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS BRITISH ORDNANCE MARKED MODEL 'A5' TELESCOPIC SIGHT WITH LEATHER CARRY-CASE,
no visible serial number, circa World War One, with blued steel 15 3/4in. body marked 'MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO.' over 'NEW HAVEN, CONN' and 'PATENTED FEBRUARY 9. 1909' flanked by 'A5' to the right side, sliding ring-mounts, the front full adjustable for windage and elevation, the foot bearing a British ordnance inspector's stamp and broad arrow device, the rear with locking ring behind, much original finish remaining and complete with its shaped leather carry-case (derelict, splits and losses)
