circa 1895, 28in. smoothbore nitro reproved barrels (in 2026), engine turned tapered matt rib, engraved 'SPECIALLY ARRANGED FOR SHOT & CONICAL BULLET.' and 'WESTLEY RICHARDS & CO. LONDON.', two folding leaf open sights marked for 200 and 300 yards, bead fore-sight, 2 3/4in. chambers, open choke in both, Anson & Deeley 1875 patent treble-grip boxlock action, patent use number 12814, toplever engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS. PATENT EJECTORS.', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, border engraving, patinated finish, triggers swept for the left hand, 14 5/8in. replacement stock, fore-end with Deeley & Edge release catch and horn finial and replacement wood, weight 6lb. 15oz.
