A RARE VICTORIAN COURT SWORD FOR THE 26th (CAMERONIAN) REGIMENT OF FOOT,
mid-19th Century, with 31in. single-edged pipe-backed blade etched on the top third with thistles and battle honours, with Queen's crown to one side and '26' within a five-pointed star over, brass hilt with shell guard having raised decoration of Queen's crown, thistles and 'CAMERONIANS' within a five-pointed star, cross-guard and knuckle-guard with thistle decoration, wire-bound grip, pommel in the shape of a thistle flower, blade stained and etching worn, shell guard loose, pommel capstone missing, no scabbard
