W. RICHARDS 12-BORE TOPLEVER HAMMERGUN, serial no. 9034, circa 1900, 28in. sleeved nitro barrels (in 1974), retaining original rib engraved 'W. RICHARDS 44 FISHERGATE PRESTON' (rubbed) and gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, treble-grip action with carved percussion fences, toplever gold-inlaid '2', fine acanthus scroll engraving with beaded and ropework bordering, brushed and reblued finish, 14 1/2in. figured stock including buttplate, weight 6lb. 12oz.
