THOMAS JOHNSON & SON 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 3030, circa 1880, 28in. replacement nitro reproved barrels (in 2005), the rib engraved 'THOMAS JOHNSON & SON. SWAFFHAM. NORFOLK.', and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech-end, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 3/4 choke, treble-grip action, patent gas checks, automatic safety with engraved 'SAFE' detail, protruding tumbler pivots, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining slight traces of colour-hardening and finish, 15 1/2in. figured stock including 2 1/8in. wooden extension, weight 6lb. 15oz.
