circa 1814, with 33in. single-edged curved blade, forte with crown over '3' inspection mark, spine marked 'OSBORN LONDON' overstamped '313', langet stamped 'R.P.C. 13 25', hilt with stirrup guard stamped '22', black leather-covered wooden grip, iron scabbard with two suspension rings, throat marked '3. G.R.I.B. 2', blade bright and a possible period replacement using a P1796 blade, hilt rusted and pitted, scabbard heavily pitted
