AN INTERESTING 69 BORE NEW LAND PATTERN FLINTLOCK PISTOL MARKED FOR THE 7th LIGHT DRAGOONS, no visible serial number, early 19th Century, 9 in. proof-marked barrel, lock engraved 'TOWER' plus lock-keeper's arrow and crown above 'GR', walnut stock stamped at the wrist with 'B O' above Broad Arrow / 1805, brass furniture, trigger-guard engraved '7 . L . D / E / 48 (for 7th Light Dragoons, E Company, pistol 48), worn, captive rammer absent and replaced with a later wooden rammer, hammer retention nut and sliding safety both absent, stock cracked between the lock tail and the barrel tang screw, also around the lock side-plate
