the revolver circa 1853, with octagonal 5 3/8in. barrel with scroll and borderline engraving, dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, the top-strap signed 'DEANE ADAMS & DEANE, 30 KING WILLIAM ST. LONDON BRIDGE' (rubbed and faint), borderline and scroll engraved solid frame, five-shot cylinder, double action only mechanism, hinged rammer stored alongside the lower left side of frame, chequered walnut grip with moulded cap and guarded trigger, the whole frosted and cleaned of finish (traces remaining), in a later walnut casing partially lined and compartmented in green baize and including a reproduction flask and tin for caps
