A SCARCE .32 (RIMFIRE) W. MARSTON PATENT FOUR-INCH THREE-BARRELLED VEST PISTOL, serial no. 706,
circa 1865, with hinged and moulded vertically stacked blued 4in. three-barrel group, small applied nickel-bladed fore-sight, rotating dove-tailed locking catch with central sighting groove mounted to top of the plain brass receiver, the side with the details 'WM. W. MARSTON PATENTED MAY 26 1857 NEW YORK CITY IMPROVED 1864' on the left hand face and rotating barrel indicator on the right, external spurred hammer, spur trigger and brass grip-straps fitted with smooth walnut grips, traces of plated finish to frame, very mild isolated pitting to barrel
