circa 1886, with nickel-plated 6in. barrel signed 'ARMY & NAVY C.S.L.' on the sighting rib. nickel blade fore-sight, the left side of barrel with additional South African registration number, no model designation to side of top-strap, rotating thumb-wheel cylinder release, break-open frame with automatic ejecting cylinder with 'church window' flutes, double action mechanism with plated hammer and chequered trigger, chequered hard rubber grips and lanyard swivel at heel, strong amount of original plating remaining
