circa 1886, with reblued 6in. barrel signed 'J. BRADDELL & SON, BELFAST' on the sighting rib, nickel blade fore-sight, no model designation to side of top-strap, rotating thumb-wheel cylinder release, break-open frame with automatic ejecting cylinder with 'church window' flutes, further South African registration number stamped inside frame, double action mechanism with polished hammer and trigger, chequered hard rubber grips and lanyard swivel at heel
