J. CHURCHILL PRACTICAL GUN & RIFLE MAKERS 8 AGAR ST. STRAND, LONDON.' and 'FOR CORDITE 400/360 2 3/4 CASE' (likely refreshed), treble-grip action with pronounced bolstered sides to the action, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, acanthus scroll engraving with beaded bordering, the bolsters with scrolling banners engraved 'E.J. CHURCHILL', brushed and reblued finish, 14 1/4in. well-figured pistolgrip stock with cheekpiece, engraved steel pistolgrip-cap, sling swivels and including 1in. recoil pad, weight 10lb. 2oz.
