Belgian circa 1865, Rissack's patent with rebrowned octagonal damascus 24 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'PARKER FIELD & SONS, 233 HOLBORN, LONDON', dove-tailed fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight with two further folding leaves, borderline and scroll engraved central hammer action with screw-breech, butterknife bolt handle, figured walnut straight hand stock chequered at the wrist, iron heel-plate and no provision for fore-end, in its original oak casing lined and compartmented in green baize, the interior of lid with parchment Parker Field trade label and also including a period pewter oil bottle, a similar period French branded powder tin and a brass cleaning rod with period accessories
