A .32 (RIMFIRE) MARLIN MODEL 1892 LEVER-ACTION SPORTING RIFLE RETAILED BY W.R. PAPE, serial no. 199158,
circa 1914, with blued round 24in. barrel signed by the maker, dove-tailed 'Rocky Mountain' fore-sight, buckhorn rear-sight, slab-sided side-ejecting receiver marked 'MARLIN SAFETY' on the top, and signed 'W.R. PAPE' in script on the right face (firing pin absent), exposed hammer, the top-tang with model details, walnut straight-hand butt-stock, beavertail fore-end and full-length magazine tube, much original finish with some surface frosting
