TWO PERCUSSION BOXLOCK POCKET PISTOLS, UNSIGNED , no visible serial numbers, both circa 1840's, the first for restoration, 34-bore with 3 1/8in. octagonal turn-off barrel (frozen), Birmingham proof stamp, engraved white-metal boxlock action (falling apart), central mounted hammer (heavily corroded and at fault), chequered but worn smooth walnut grip (pommel cap absent), concealed automatic trigger (at fault), the second most likely continental, 36-bore with 4 3/4in. round fixed barrel, rectangular boxlock action, off-set mounted hammer, smooth bag-shape walnut grips, guarded trigger, the whole rubbed clean of finish
