circa 1852, with octagonal 4 5/8in. barrel signed on the top-flat 'C. REEVES, LONDON', rounded muzzle, Kerr-style rammer and mounted to the frame by a frontal screw, scroll engraved open iron frame signed in a banner on the right side 'REEVES', self-cocking trigger, the hammer nose operating through an aperture in the standing breech, five-shot cylinder with a scroll engraved panel over each chamber, chequered walnut grips, shallow domed grip-cap and guarded trigger, older refinish with discolouration to iron surfaces
