A CASED 80-BORE PERCUSSION REVOLVER SIGNED GEORGE DAW, LONDON, serial no. 1701,
second model circa 1861, with well reblued 5 3/4in. round and sighted barrel, the flat sighting plane inscribed 'GEORGE H. DAW, 57 THREADNEEDLE ST. LONDON, PATENT NO. 1701', fitted with a colour hardened under-lever rammer of compound linkage design, blued open borderline engraved frame marked 'PATENT NO 1071', five shot London proved colour hardened cylinder numbered '1' through '5' on the front face and with matching serial number, double action mechanism, the blued hammer with the customary flash shield, chequered walnut grip with colour hardened back-strap and domed butt-cap, lanyard ring at heel, the revolver fully restored and refinished, complete in its original green baize lined and partitioned oak case and with period mould, flask, loading rod, cap tins and oil bottle
