circa 1935, 27in. nitro chopperlump barrels, ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2', tubes engraved 'WILLIAM POWELL & SON. CARR'S LANE. BIRMINGHAM.' (worn), 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/2 choke (both), walls generally below recommended minimum, W. Baker patent assisted-opening actions, patent no. 16778 of 22nd March 1913, with Baker patent ejectors, the fences carved in high relief with foliate designs on a matted background, border and acanthus scroll engraving with floral bouquets, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. figured stocks (cast on for a left-hander), weight 6lb. 4oz. (No.1) 6lb. 3oz. (No.2), in a brass-cornered oak and leather double guncase
