AN 18-BORE PERCUSSION HEAVY OVERCOAT PISTOL SIGNED W. PARKER, LONDON, no visible serial number,
circa 1825 and almost certainly converted from flint, with octagonal 4 1/2in. barrel (cleaned of finish) signed 'W. PARKER, HOLBORN, LONDON', drum and nipple breech, plain colour hardened lock of flint form retaining vestiges of pan and signed 'PARKER', bolted safe behind the hammer, walnut full-stock with semi slab-sided bag-shaped grip, brass furniture and brass-tipped mahogany ramrod
Provenance: From its styling, this is almost certainly a Constabulary pistol which W. Parker was well known for producing from around 1803 onwards
