LONDON.', and with acanthus scroll detailing at the breech-end, 2 5/8in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. choke, Thomas patent snap-action, patent no. 3091 of 15th November 1871, toplever engraved 'PATENT WEDGE BOLT', carved percussion fences, back-action locks with rebounding dolphin hammers, border and acanthus scroll engraving, patinated finish, 14 1/4in. figured stock including steel heel and toe plates, fore-end with 'patent' lever release, weight 7lb. 15oz.
