26 1/2in. black powder only reproved twist barrel, faceted breech end engraved 'J. MACNAUGHTON. EDINBURGH', 2 1/2in. chamber, bored approx. true cyl. choke, J. Macnaughton falling block action patent no. 2848 of 12th July 1879, use number 84, external bar cocking-indicator / safety sear with external lever safety (loose, currently not engaging with sear to operate as safety), plain blued action engraved 'MACNAUGHTON'S PATENT NO. 84/947', 14in. figured stock with sling eyes and including horn buttplate, weight 5lb. 10oz.
