circa 1760, with octagonal to round brass barrel, turned decoration to muzzle, traces of scroll engraving to breech end and the solid top-tang, flat brass step-tailed bevel-edged lock with engraved decoration and signed 'PEYRET A PARIS' below the pan (rubbed), possible replacement hammer, bridleless frizzen with carved spring, walnut full-stock with moulded borders around the furniture, long-spurred butt-cap, shaped sideplate engraved with a martial trophy and working replacement ramrod
