English, possibly signed 'FOWLER, LONDON' and circa 1790, with round iron London proved 3 1/2in. barrel, flat sighting plane with diminutive fore-sight, solid top-tang, curved flat lock with rounded step at tail, sliding safe behind the hammer and semi-rainproof pan with roller frizzen, walnut full-stock with chequered bag-shaped butt, white-metal oval escutcheons to pommel and wrist, iron furniture and captive iron ramrod
